Ms. Belowich to lead growth of firm's Transportation Practice throughout 16 office locations across nine states

PITTSBURGH, March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, today announced that the firm has promoted Jessica Belowich, P.E., PTOE, to Great Lakes Regional Practice Lead – Transportation. In this role, Ms. Belowich will lead the firm's focus on growth in the Great Lakes Region. She will actively collaborate across practices and geographies to support Michael Baker's expansion into new markets and clients, enhance existing client relationships, secure new project opportunities, and ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Her focus areas will encompass client and industry engagement, business development, leadership in project capture strategy, regional operational coordination, technical resource planning support, quality control and financial performance of transportation projects. The Great Lakes Region is Michael Baker International's largest region, encompassing 16 office locations across nine states, including Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Ms. Belowich joined Michael Baker as an intern in 2004 and has since held roles of increasing responsibility.  Most recently, she served as the Department Manager – Traffic for the firm's Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office, where she leveraged her vast experience in both transportation planning and traffic and highway design engineering and management. She also has expertise in traffic operational analysis and alternatives investigation for transportation projects. Her work includes complex projects throughout the Great Lakes Region with the City of Pittsburgh and Departments of Transportation in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky – as well as clients in Texas, Mississippi and Arizona.

Ms. Belowich earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP) and Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
